Stoke-on-Trent Festival will celebrate its Fiftieth ‘Golden’ Anniversary this summer. Managing Director, Mike Lloyd, and his fellow Board members have over the years developed both the Classical Orchestral concerts and Piano Masters series into one of the most prestigious music events in the country.

Nicola Benedetti is one of the most sought-after violinists of her generation. Her ability to captivate audiences with her innate musicianship and dynamic presence, coupled with her wide appeal as a high-profile advocate for classical music, has made her one of the most influential classical artists of today.

Founded in 1949 by Dame Ruth Railton, it exists to give breakthrough experiences of orchestral music to teenage musicians and audiences of all backgrounds.
Many of the UK’s leading musicians are NYO alumni including Sir Simon Rattle, Sir Mark Elder, Judith Weir, Thomas Ades and Alison Balsom.
Drawing it’s 164 musicians from every background and every part of the UK, NYO comes together three times a year to rehearse in residence and work alongside leading international conductors, tutors and soloists.
Through NYO Inspire and NYO Open, NYO supports the needs of the education sector and targets committed young musicians who lack opportunities to advance their playing.
